PRODUCTION CANCELED.- It is with heavy hearts that we inform you that we will no longer be able to go into production on Watermelon Tears. As of today we are shutting down all operations associated with the film. Gallagher's management believes that our musical is in violation of the comedy icon's trademarks and patents. As independent filmmakers we simply don’t have the resources to defend ourselves should a lawsuit occur. This is a major blow to all of us who have worked so hard to create something original and entertaining. But take heart! There will be more amazing projects to come from us in the future! -WT

THE FILM
A short musical film which tells the story of a fictitious 1980s entertainment icon—and the brother who stole his act—WATERMELON TEARS stars acclaimed musician Sean Tillmann (Har Mar Superstar) and Donovan Leitch.
Visually and sonically compelling, WATERMELON TEARS was conceived as a love letter to the highly stylized rock musicals of the late 70s and early 80s. The film contains four original songs written and recorded by Los Angeles and Seattle area musicians.

- Lily (Writer and director) wrote the screenplay and will direct the film. She works in the movie biz and it seems that the regular and close proximity exposure to this side of Hollywood has cross-pollinated with her latent expertise in choreographed dance numbers, 1970’s magicians, “phäntasy” (she’s always saying that word) and teen slasher movies to create the strangely mutated albeit singular sensibility of a true auteur. If she doesn’t make a movie of her own soon she might hurt someone.Mike (composer) wrote the lyrics and composed the music along with co-composer Mark Ulrich. Mike's a dilettante musician and probably something of a dilettante at life too, but that’s an entirely different solicitation. He “works” in various capacities in the music industry and enjoys his rock & roll with a healthy dose of spandex and synthesizers. He also likes zombies and mockery.Bill (producer) has directed and produced 5 independent shorts including NOUGAT which won SXSW and toured with Spike and Mike’s Sick and Twisted Animation Festival. Bill also has over 12 years of post production experience at a major motion picture studio.Sarena (producer) is producing the SHIT out of WATERMELON TEARS. She currently works in Feature Post Production at a major motion picture studio coordinating big fancy movies and is a surprisingly great rapper.
